Swag at Sundance


Swag, schwag…, I had not really heard the term until I began working as a volunteer at the Sundance Film Festival in 2005. Even then I related it to the bags of bling that were given to the stars. Working behind the “ropes” I saw with my own eyes the thousands of dollars of expensive brand name products in swag bags, that were given away to help build brand recognition.

Fast forward to 2010 and we are meeting with a new client who is a member of Gen X. He jokingly referred to our founder as the “Swag Hag”. We got a good laugh but then realized that there is an entire generation that calls promotional products swag.

Call it what you like, swag, promotional products or giveaways, a strategically selected logoed product will yield a high rate of return.
